Words really could not do justice to the value that Diane and team added to our extension/kitchen refurb.
Our project was ambitious in that we were trying to fit a lot into a relatively small space on a not unlimited budget, without sacrificing the look and feel of what we were trying to achieve. By the time we went to see Diane, we were a bit done with the whole thing, having gone backwards and forwards with an unimaginative architect and a bit sad that we’d have to make one compromise too many.
Our first meeting with Diane completely reinvigorated the project, and reenergised us. Diane took hours to understand us and our life and reconfigured the space in a way which made so much more sense. The difference was transformational and led to us resubmitting our plans.
In terms of the kitchen itself, the first thing to note is that Diane was completely unphased and non-judgmental by the fact that our budget was relatively small, guiding us through decision after decision to get to what was essential, and what was superfluous. The fact that we went on to blow that budget had nothing to do with Diane’s sales technique, and everything to do with us.
As someone both exacting and indecisive, I imagine I’m a designer’s nightmare. However, Diane’s enthusiasm and patience never wavered through visit after visit (and drawing after drawing) as we nailed down precisely what we wanted both functionally and aesthetically.
Shortly before the fitting we hit a snag – the worktop that arrived looked considerably different from the worktop that we’d picked based on a sample. The way this was handled spoke volumes – rather than hoping we wouldn’t notice, Diane immediately pointed it out to us and apologised. Since we weren’t content with any of the samples in store, Diane and team worked their magic to source samples from other suppliers, eventually finding us a great match and securing enough of the material in time for our allotted fitting.
Diane and team worked collaboratively with our builders, considerably reducing our stress levels by overcoming real world challenges with our tight measurements. The fitting of the kitchen was flawless – on time and to a brilliant standard. The kitchen we got looked exactly like the renders. Snags were acknowledged and fixed quickly and without issue.
